Meetings are still being held virtually.
Quorum was not reached at the first meeting (9/15) so a second one was held on the 29th.
The committees gave updates but Rich's board seat could not be voted on at the first meeting.
On the heels of a successful back to school event, the social committee is moving toward more consistent quarterly events, Fall Fest being the next one. They discussed sending baskets to new homeowners to welcome them to the neighborhood.
The communication committee said that the website is moving along well. They mentioned a HS student was helping the mysterious developer and what a great opportunity it would be for them to learn. Which is different from prior messaging that committee members have limited time for them to now be responsible for mentoring people to learn a professional skill. Is it common for HOA committees to support apprentices?
Also interesting, for a group that is very quick to give each other shout outs and accolades, the identity of the 'committee member neighbor developer" is a very closely guarded secret.
The capital planning committee has some ideas for the cell phone lot. One of which included a pool. One might wonder if we would be putting a 4 foot open style fence around it or if we would continue with inconsistent fencing 'standards'.
Rich did not run again and will just be supporting committees going forward. He mentioned his top priority being the ARC. Which begs the question; was Rich serving on the board AND as one of the five seats on the ARC? Something about that doesn't seem right.
Sarah and Daryl ran for the board seat with Daryl receiving 15 votes and Sarah, 20. Sarah will replace Rich on the board.
