TL;DR

  • Possibly because of Memorial Day weekend?

  • Current vendor is not fulfilling our needs
    
    • Rain pond maintenance; need to be weeded and mulched
      
      • Howard County requires 3 inches of mulch in rain beds
    • Street trees need to be trimmed
    • Dog stations haven't been installed
  • Looking for another landscaping vendor
    
    • Suggestions are welcome
    • Current proposals include landscaping and snow removal, not sure if they need to be broken apart
  • Snow removal is only for common area sidewalks
    
    • Shared driveways are not covered
      
      • There will be research to charge those homes if they want their private driveways included in snow removal
  • Home lawn care
    
    • They will be walking around, taking pictures, and sending letters to homes with long grass and unkempt flower beds
  • Looking into list of things that can be planted in rain ponds
  • Dead Street trees will be replaced
  • Plans for future neighborhood cleanup days
  • Townhomes should remove tree stakes
• Communications committee
  
  • Sarah is the new POC

    • Featuring community families
    • Email the committee if you would like your family to be featured
  • They will be auditing members of Facebook group
    
    • 320 are in the group and they want to make sure they live within the 220 homes
  • Website will be launching this summer

  • July 4th event similar to last year
    
    • Parade at 10am with longer route this year
    • 11-12 Sprinkler splashpad
    • If you would like an American flag, pick one up from the social committee
      
      • They won't put it in everyone's yard this year
    • No movie this year because it doesn't get dark soon enough

  • Still need a town home member
    
    • Deadlock gets broken by the board
    • There has already been a deadlock vote
  • A trampoline amendment has been submitted and is in review
  • Architectural Review Application will be revised (again)

  • Think they have identified a company to do the community survey
  • They will conduct a feasibility study then a reserve study to plan the cell phone tower lot

    • Shelters for the mailboxes
• Security committee
  
  • Security Cameras: committee hasn't synced with the board or gotten an action plan for implementation yet
    
    • The board decided that they will vote privately about this
    • The budget has already been allocated and the board has decided that this is a now just an internal vendor selection decision
  • Sekeno has requested no parking signs at the front of the community by the tunnel
  • School tunnel is considered unsafe and Rich is trying to see who is liable if anything happens
• Three board seats up for election this year

  • Board is looking for people to review the applications
• Reminder from last meeting that the Facebook group has changed ownership and given admin rights to the Board of Directors and Communication Committee
